Check a request
If you removed Rapo Chat from your Facebook or Instagram settings, you were given a confirmation code. Enter it here.
How to request erasure
From Facebook or Instagram. Open your settings, find Rapo Chat under the apps and websites you have used, and remove it. Choosing to delete your data sends us the request automatically and gives you a code to check above. This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us.
By email. Write to hello@rapo.chat from the address you gave the shop, or tell us the phone number you messaged from and which shop you were talking to, so we can find the right record.
Ask the shop. The shop you messaged decides what it keeps about you. Asking it directly is often quickest, and it can delete your conversation itself.
What erasure removes
When we honour a request, for every shop that holds a record of you:
- The link to your Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp account is deleted. Nothing here points at your social account any more.
- Your messages are cleared. The text and any attachments are removed from the shop’s inbox, along with the automatic labels applied to them.
- Your contact record is anonymised. Name, phone number, email address and any saved attributes are erased.
What is kept, and why
If you placed an order, the order itself is kept — what was bought, for how much, and whether it was paid and delivered — with your personal details removed from it. That is the shop’s own trading record, which it may be required to keep for tax or accounting, and it is not information we obtained from Meta.
So after erasure a shop can still see that an order happened, but not who you are, how to reach you, or what you said.
If you want an order record removed as well, ask the shop directly — that decision is theirs, and depends on the obligations they are under.
How long it takes
A request sent from Facebook or Instagram is carried out immediately and the status above will say so. A request by email is handled by a person and may take a few days while we confirm which record is yours.
